Ms. Piazza is a Partner and Owner at Gentile Piazza & Junker, P.C. As an experienced trial attorney, Ms. Piazza is a passionate advocate for civil rights, and her practice includes representation of victims of excessive police force, and prisoner rights. Her practice also includes medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance bad faith, and appellate work. Ms. Piazza has been nationally recognized for her work in Insurance Law, Personal Injury Litigation, and in 2024, Ms. Piazza was rated one of America’s Top 50 Lawyers in Insurance Law. Ms. Piazza has handled cases for both plaintiffs and defendants throughout New Mexico.
Prior to being licensed as an attorney, Ms. Piazza worked as a print journalist, where she covered the courts and police beat. Ms. Piazza has been recognized for her work in journalism. In 2010, Ms. Piazza was awarded First Place in Public Service from the New Mexico Press Association, for exceptional journalism with a tangible public benefit. Ms. Piazza’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware, a Master of Journalism Degree from the University of Maryland, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
